Z-Series A.R.E. Shell has just been installed recently on a 2010 F-150 Raptor. Kevin Snedeker, owner of Vaca Valley Truck & SUV gives us a tour of the features of this great shell.
Kevin with Vaca Valley Truck & SUV shows off an A.R.E. CX Series with a ‘Windoor’, plus a pass through with a rubber boot seal. A Yakima Track Rack is installed on the top of the shell.
Kevin Snedeker of Vaca Valley Truck & SUV shows off a recent job on a 2012 Honda Ridgeline adding an A.R.E. Z-Series Shell.
2011 Ford F150 4×4 Super Cab with A.R.E. CX Series shell or truck cap with solid Windoors on the drivers side (this one has a tool or storage area) and passenger side, This has the full rear door with the “man door" for animals or even people. Notice that it also opens up like a hatch. Included also is a Cargo Pro BedSlide (saves backs!). Look at the lines of the shell in how nicely it fits this truck.
On this F150 regular cab with the 8′ bed, we have installed the A.R.E. DCU Commercial Shell or Truck Cap with solid lift up doors on the side with integrated compartments. This unit has a rear barn door style option (there are several ways to go on the rear) where the tailgate is removed. The inside doors on the rear have been lined with aluminum sheet. Six interior lights with one switch. Notice also the great looking and heavy duty aluminum rack integrated into the shell.
Kevin is showing a recent job installing an A.R.E. CX Series Camper Shell or Truck Cap on this 2012 White Toyota Tundra Access Cab. The fit and finish on this high quality A.R.E. Shell is second to none and is at least one reason Kevin sells a lot of them. This one also has a drop down picture window access to the back of the cab.
Kevin is showing us the A.R.E. MX Series Camper Shell or what some call a Truck Cap. This shell has a 4"-6" rise in the height of the shell to allow for taller cargo, yet it flows with the lines of the truck so nicely.
Kevin is showing a job for an avid hunter where an A.R.E. V-Series Camper Shell or Truck Cap with no frills is matched to a HD Allure Aluminum Rack on the shell. The interior is easily cleaned after a hunting trip and having the dogs in the back. The rack allows for carrying heavier things than other shell racks, and it is all inexpensive and yet has the full quality of all the A.R.E. products.
Kevin shows off a beautiful 2013 GMC 1500 Crew Cab with extra short bed after the installation of a paint-matched A.R.E. X-Series Camper Shell or Truck Cap and how it compares to the higher end Z-Series Shell. This installation also includes a BedRug, Carpeted ceiling, and quick disconnect wiring connection. Kevin points out the quality, fit and finish, and function of the X-Series Shell.
Kevin shows off a recent job installing an A.R.E. V-Series Camper Shell or Truck Cap with a BedRug on the new body style 2014 Chevy 1500 Crew Cab with the extra short bed. Kevin points out the high quality and attention to detail of the A.R.E. product and how the fit and finish is such a great match to the fit and finish of the truck itself. He also points out the drop down front window which allows the cleaning of the truck rear window and front side of the shell window. What a benefit that is!
Kevin, owner of Vaca Valley Truck & SUV shows us a recent installation of an A.R.E. CX-Series shell or truck cap in matching color mounted on a 2013 Toyota Tundra Double Cab with the extra short bed. This unit has 31% tinted glass, aluminum frames for the glass and rear door. It also has the Yakima rack system installed.
Kevin describes an A.R.E. Overland Series shell or truck cap recently installed on a 2014 For Raptor. This unit also has a Yakima rack system. Inside the shell is a carpeted headliner, LED interior lighting package, pet screens so you can have ventilation without the animals pushing the screen out. See more at
Kevin shows us a recent installation of an A.R.E. Z-Series pickup truck shell or cap on a 2014 Chevrolet 1500 Crew Cab with extra short bed. This is color-matched to the truck, follows the lines of the truck perfectly with SUV style frameless windows. This also has a Yakima rack system for carrying skis or other cargo. This unit has a drop-down front window in the shell for easy cleaning of the shell window and the pickup back window.
Kevin shows off the A.R.E. MX-Series Shell which has a little more height inside. This unit also has unique side windows with a center lockable screen area for ventilation and can be opened like the rear door too. In addition, this has a Decked Storage System to keep gear out of sight and out of mind, yet totally accessible.
Kevin shares a great looking work truck with the A.R.E. V-Series Shell made into a Commercial Shell with a storage area on the curbside and full access on the streetside. In addition is the Wise Industries BedRug. Now a great looking truck becomes a “work" truck" but sure doesn’t look like it.
In this video we will compare truck cap models between industry leaders A.R.E., Leer, and SnugTop. All caps were manufactured for a 2015 Ford F-150 for a fair comparison. Cap models featured: A.R.E. Z-series, Leer 100XL, and SnugTop SuperSport.
Kevin shows off the A.R.E. V-Series Shell mounted on the new body style 2016 Tacoma double cab. This unit has a couple of options the customer desired, such as, the carpeted headliner and sliding front window.
